If your garage door is getting old, impossible to lift or just generally falling apart, you can select a new one that’s easier to maintain and use. Modern advancements in technology means that garage doors now look better and are more convenient to use than they once were. However, if you have children at home, you need a garage door with adequate safety features, not just one that looks good.

Springs Are Important

Garage doors have springs fitted to them, and there are two types of springs – extension and torsion. Extension springs are cheaper but they can snap, and if you happen to be anywhere near them when they do, they can cause serious injury. If your children are playing outside on the front lawn, they’re the ones most likely to be at risk if this happens.
